07 V8 headers yayaya they dont make em need info?

ok we've established no one makes them for the runners BUT do any of them bolt up to the block in stock form? would they bolt up if the piping from the colector was routed differently as it seems they come out the back more straight than down which is what we require?

or are they just too bulky to fit inbetween the heads and the frame and it just isnt gonna happen unless they are smaller shorter runs off the heads?


i have the ability and desire to modify them if all i need to do is cut at the collector and reroute but if i have to do major work to the actual piping off the head its more than i want to get into at this point in time.

so any info for those that were looking into it appreciated as this info wasnt really made clear in the threads i found.

Im not looking for the they have a different flange crap yada yada yada i will make a custom full exhaust if i do this not a big deal to me to bolt up in a stock location.

if someone knows more about his please post but ill be honest you guys are a different breed on this forum and it seems unless it bolts up stock for stock and legal in the republic of KALIFORNIA you guys dont want it. just what i see dont take offence.

V8 is 90 degrees so there is little room
someone tried a set of JBA's they were too big, see below the frame and steering got in the way

hmm couldnt see any pics but the way it read its what i was afraid of the actual width to the frame and that isnt what i want to get into. i noticed he had an 05' im a little fuzzy on the years for the swap over on the v8's to vvti was it 05 or 06 with the new front end? not that that update really matters i guess being still a 2uz

ok little update on my search apparently the Doug Thorley headers DO bolt up according to this thread I Want HEADERS for a 4.7 V8!! - YotaTech Forums

basically they will work if i cut at the collector and fab my own after according to what this guy says although he didnt end up doing it because of the removal of the cats....

if i can get the Doug T's not coated id be willing to try possibly adding some high-flow cats in place of the lost stock smelly cats. i believe it will work better that way for sound too.

anybody care to comment on the Doug T's bolt up ability? im going to try to contact (csteege) on that forum to find out more i think hes on here somewhere too iv seen pics i thought.

and iv just reread the thread ROOK posted and realize that even there its stated they WILL bolt up but the location of the exit flange is hitting thingsand no one wants to mod them so it looks like ill betrying to get a set of headers and seeing what i can do if i find some for the right price and not coated.
