08 key fob, Gone!

Hi Everybody, we just got back from our week in Canada, fishing was great, but lost my key fob.Probably dropped it on the way into the cabin about mid-week. Looked everywhere, spoke to the cabin owner and he'll keep a watch for it.Stopped by the dealership on the way home,they want $160 or so to replace and set it up.Wondering if anyone knows a better price on these things,I did a search here but no luck, thanks for lookin' Mike.

You can pick them up on eBay a LOT cheaper than that and program it to your T4R yourself. I don't remember the exact procedure, but I'm sure you could find it here with a search.

Go to http://www.remotesandkeys.com/ look up you vehicle. They listed a 2008 4Runner New for $69.00 and a referb for $39.00. I have bought 2 used remotes from them and have been very satisfied with them. The also have a great guarantee program.

I just bought a NEW one for my 07 from remotez4less for 33 Bux+ shipping. They send you the programming instructions ( you do yourself) and a 2nd battery. Had it in hand in 72 hours! :

Fob?

So where did you finally get the key fob from? I just bought a used 03 and all I received was a key, no fob and certainly no instructions. Can you help? I have seen notices saying Remote4Less had problems. Thanks.

I lost one of my keys & remote once too...so I feel your pain.

That was $200 ripped up right in front of my face.

I bought the remote off ebay $25. Found a seller that had 99%+ Postive Ratings. The key...I got it at the dealer, I was also doing some warranty work. The erased the old code, obtained the new key for me, cut that key & reprogrammed a new code.
