hey all,
i have an 08 UR with about 5-6k miles on it and recently i've started to hear a slight squeak from my rear brakes(i think its rear).
i'll be driving 40-50mph, then i press on the brake with medium power and i'll slow down to like 10-20mph and hear the squeak for about 1-2 seconds. this is before i come to a full stop. it randomly happens.
i talked to the dealership and they said that sometimes the brakes stick due to the cold weather. this is my first winter with my 4runner and i use to use my e-brake whenever i parked. but since talking to the dealer, i have stopped using my ebrake completely and i still hear the squeak sometimes. i assume its due to cold weather, but does any1 have this issue as well? maybe its all the sand and salt on the ground due to snow and what not.
i heard it a few times yesterday. braking power seems fine tho.
i dont think my brakes are worn down since i only have 5-6k miles.
what should i do? is there something i can check?
