08 Urban Runner lift question

I have an 08 Urban Runner with the oil filled shocks (the X suspention). im looking to put a OME suspension lift on it but i need to know 2 things. 1. could I just put the OME springs on it and keep my stock oil filled shocks? 2. If I can not keep the stock oil filled shocks, what do I need to do to take that whole oil filling system off my car without having a check engine light or whatever light would come on when I took all that off.

1) Technically yes, but not recommended as the stock shocks don't have strong enough rebound damping to control the OME coils. Basically, you will probably want to upgrade to better shocks soon after anyway...so just do it all at the same time.

2) I actually just ripped out my XREAS yesterday and all i did was disconnect the lines and cut them near the mounts. We were in a hurry and i'm going to take the remaining lines off sometime. No check engine lights or anything on the dash. If you want to retain the systems functionality for resale, you would just disconnect them at the appropriate points while all four corners are at full droop (as its pressurized).
