08-V8 Stock 4Runner Lift Advise?

Hey People, need some advise here. 08 V8 desire 3" Toytec Lift (3" FJ Lift Kit W/Spacers & Rear ToyTec RCC2.0 Coils P/N: FJ3-RCC) prior to putting on some 275/70R17 , Wrangler DT's. It is stock now. Been advised to add SPC upper control arms and do a diff drop. Quoted a price of $1,940 to do all that, includes modified IFS alignment. Two questions, 1. Does that price seem reasonable/fair? (7 hours labor) 2. Are the upper control arms and diff drop recommended, needed, ,mandatory or just nice to have? I'm fairly handy, but not sure I want to try to conquer this. I want it done right. Any help is thanked in advance.

If the price includes parts and labor then I say let them do it. If that is just labor, do it yourself.

It's not overtly difficult, but I do recommend that you either take thurs and Friday off or wait for a holiday weekend if this is your DD.

There are tons of write-ups and I don't know how handy you are but my stance is, if I can do it, so can you.

UCA's might not be needed and can be added after the fact if you can't get alignment. Every body on here says diff drop is not necessary.

How many miles are on your ride? Do you have XRAES or rear airbags? I am guessing your have already sussed all that out though...

M, thank you, 90K on my Runner, no X-REAS, no rear air bags (I don't think?), Price includes all parts and labor. Also included 1.5 hours labor on the alignment. All labor at $125 per hour.
