'09 sport transmission slip when cornering

I saw someone else in the forum having the same issue. Mine has 5k on it and has done it off and one since new. When coasting around a slow corner under 20mph and then getting back on the gas the engine revs to about 3,000 rpm until it kicks back in. Really annoying to know you do not have instant control and feels awkward. Anyway, took her into the dealer today and they stated they have had many complaints from Tacoma, Sienna Van, 4runner owners with same issue. Technician said it was due to fluid level shifting. Anyone else having these issues ? I'm not sure if I should let them open it up and start fooling with it if they know they can't do anything about it.

I'd have them confirm the fluid is filled to the correct level. I know mine is right and I've never had the issue you are talking about. If the level were a bit low it may cause what you're describing.

Check the fluid level. Mine was underfilled by 1/2 quart. It does make a difference in driveability. Not kidding.
