Currently right now im running king coilovers in the front (3.5" lift) and LC 8 wraps in the the rear (4" lift), with 295/70/17's, i rub pretty bad offroading so it prevents me from going out to much, i was thinking about doing a BL to help clear these tires, how hard is it to do, can you do it on your own pretty easily? is it easier to do a 1.5" over a 2"....it wont make my 295's looks to small will it? also how much am i looking to spend for the lift and parts needed? and recommended brands? thanks

your rubbing issues will likely go away with just a 1" BL. Anything beyond that would be for looks, more flex room, or option to go to 35s. I put a 2" on mine and don't regret it. 285s tuck real nicely and don't look small and I do have the option to run 35s.

4crawler is your best bet for a body lift. Just research it and you'll find all the info you need. His website is a little confusing. Here's a link to help 4Crawler 01-02 Body Lift Kits

Putting on the lift isn't that hard and you could get away with doing it by yourself but it's a little easier with 2 people. Big thing I'd suggest is 2 days prior to putting it on I would WD40 or pb blast all your mounts. There is plenty of instructions on this forum to help.

awesome thanks for the help, do you happen to have any side pics of your runner with the BL on, it looks like 4crawler sells everything you need in the lift kit package for either the 1.5" or 2" is this right or did you need to go out and find other parts and bolts? Thanks

he sells everything you need in the kits nothing more is needed other than tools and man power.

Thanks for the pics, i looked at the first one and i was like oh that not much of a difference but then noticed it said without :ybrick: and scrolled down a little and was like oh there we go!!! looks a lot taller, and it looks really good, defiantly what im going to need to do! Oh ya is there a way to get the bumper to line up better with the body or is that just what happens when you do a body lift? Thanks for the help

well, since I have an aftermarket bumper there is no bracket to bring it up. I'l have to mod the brackets on it.... eventually. With yours, 4crawler makes front bumper brackets that you'll want to get. Or else your bumper will have a gap between the body like mine does. The rear bumper is attached to the body so no messing with it.

You can either cut the mounts for the ARB bumper, and reweld them higher...

Or, you can just drill new holes in the bumper like I did...

Thanks Brian.. I've searched on it. I think I'm gonna go with the cut and reweld. I'm also going to gusset the brackets to make them stronger for future winching as well as plate the end caps while I've got the bumper off. I've just been putting it off haha. So much to do, so little time!!

I think the cut and weld method is easier, I just didn't have access to a welder at the time, but I did have a drill! If you decide to do the drill method, the bumper won't go straight up. You have to drill your new holes 2" down (or whatever your body lift is) and then 3/16-1/2" towards the back of the bumper - see my pic. This will allow it to come forward a little bit as it comes up so the bottom of the bumper will clear the brackets (weird angle). If what I'm saying isn't making sense, you'll see what I mean if you go to do it.

I want to do a shockworks bumper in the near future and i think i can get brackets from them to make the adjustment for me hopefully, thanks for the help!
