1`` leveling kits & warranty

Hey all,

Im looking to have a 1`` front leveling kit professionally installed.

My question to you all is, if I get the lift installed, does it void Toyotas warranty?

IF I do have it installed, what should I have mechanic look for while installing? I own a `04 Sport without the X-Reas suspension.

Alignment needed afterwards?

Anything else you can think of?

Warranty can easily be voided , but the dealer has to prove that your modification caused the problem , and yes it warranty work and will fight you tooth and nail , in the meantime your vehicle will probably be sitting while this gets resolved .

Would I still do the small lift you want to do ....yes !

You have an 04 Sport without XREAS? If that's true, you must have taken the XREAS out, in which case you shouldn't be worried about voiding your warranty anyway.

Okay, now I understand your concern for your warranty. Do you have an extended warranty? I only ask because an '04 should be nearing the end of its standard factory warranty anyway.

Like Falls said, the only way a warranty claim can be denied is if it can be proven that the modification caused the failure in question. I have a 1" spacer lift on my 4Runner, and I'm not worried about the warranty at all.

Hey, I see you're in NYC. I'm only 25 miles away. Instead of paying to have your spacer lift installed, why don't you just do it yourself? If you need a hand, let me know. I installed mine by myself without a hitch. I'd be happy to give you a hand.

I did buy extended warranty from dealership- 6yr/75k

I just wanted to clarify on my behalf the terms of "warranty"
with the custom add ons.

Steve, thanks much for the install invite, someone owes me,
and he has a shop in New Rochelle, so we are going to settle
with the lift install, and a few beers and a surf n turf dinner.

Did you have issues with wheel alignment? I have 25k on the 4R and tires show really no wear. I dont beat on my truck and rotate
em every 10k. Really impressed with them. Bridgestones.

Jason has sent me email saying lifts are in the hands of UPS.
I will try to post b4 and after pics in the near future.

JAOS/Aura front grille my neighbor paintes/installed is the cheri
on my 4R. Ive actually gotten pulled over by NYPD thinking
I did something wrong only to be asked where I bought the grill.
