10 miles per month in 4WD drive?

The toyota manual states that to keep system working properly "you need to drive the monster in 4WD mode for at least 10 miles per month ".

However, as I learned, the T4R SR5 doesn't have a center differential, which means it can't be driven on paved surface for long time in 4WD. I'm totally confused. Is toyota wrong? Or am I wrong?

Anyone can tell me how to finish the 10-mile quota every month?

This has been covered in several threads, but to summarize:

1) Find a gravel road, dirt road, or very wet road.
2) Only use 4H on pavement with very, very, mild cornering. No tight corners.

Frankly, I prefer to use the first.

you can drive in a straight line just fine...

and you can shift into (50mph) and out of (no limit) 4H on the fly, just have little to no load on the engine for best results, i.e. don't do it while accelerating.
