Threads like this, and the OPs dilemma is precisely why I run two different sets of rims and tires lol.

As I get older, I care to compromise less, and use the absolute best tool for the job at hand.

My road tire will never be my off-road tire, and my off-road tire will never be my road tire.

Yep. I like the KO2 shoulder design. 10 ply would be even better for the rocks. Just trying to weigh every day road performance to peace of mind the 2-3 times I might need it every year. In reality a standard load KO2 (and hell, maybe even some other run of the mill all terrain) would be fine, but the fact that I have a lead on a set of E loads for cheap is enticing.

Here's an objective question: how much will mpg actually suffer? I can't imagine it would be more than 1-2 mpg less.

mpg shouldn't go down more than 2-3. For reference, I have C load ko2 and my mpg only went down 1mpg after the switch from P load. Stiffness probably won't be noticed at first, but once you start wearing the tread down you will start to notice the ride quality and might get noiser. Something to think about.

My wife thinks it feels a little jiggly. But the tires went on with new shocks and springs, so hard to know exactly what to attribute it to.
