I think that all factory systems are crap. HOWEVER JBL does alot better than most for factory systems!!!!! I speak from experience NEVER buy a bose system! Remeber No highs? No lows? Must be bose!!!!

has anyone upgraded their 10 speaker jbls ?

(not referring to the ones who did not have it in the first place.)

how do i dig up the center front channel ??

I also have no idea how to take the door panels out. I tried feeling for screws and there weren't any...

but then again this was at night with out a light.

I think the center channel can be accessed by just popping that cover off. When I was messing with the head unit, you can see the little speaker and I didn't see any screws holding that cover. Going off memory so don't hold me to it.

The JBL system is nice overall, just lacking in the bass department. I added 2 10" subs and an AMP to power it and it fills up nicely. Also the center channel can be a little overpowering. I'm thinking of installing a knob to lower down the intensity.

ok... did the front speakers, however my auto feature wont work when i roll the window down.

however it does roll up/down.

any suggestions ? perhaps one of the pins came out ?

Try your windows again after the car has been on for a while. I just put in a whole new audio system and mine did the exact same thing. My rear wiper and defoger wouldn't work either. I was not too happy, because I couldn't figure out what I did, but after a little while, everything just started working again. I know it's weird, but that's what happened. I think when I hooked the battery back up it just took a while for the computer to check itself...at least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :)

yeah... after a few hours sitting there... everything is normal again.

but i did not disconnect the battery. perhaps i still should of done the little test to do that reset thing in the manual ??

oh well all is good now. :)

Regarding the automatic windows, this is a function of having the battery disconnected for too long. According the manual, what happens, is the computer looses its memory of where the limits of motion are.

To solve it, start with you window closed. Then hold down the button to open it until the windows is completely open, and then continue to hold it for another 2 seconds. At this point that window should be back to normal. Note that you will have to do this for all the windows with the auto feature.

yes, that's if i disconnected the battery.

I just unplugged the connectors at the door panel, I did not disconnect the battery.

thnx for chimming in though.
