Hey Dudes,

Thought I'd share another milestone for [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] and I. We just posted our 100th video on our YouTube channel "Timmy the Toolman" today. It's been a very successful year for us getting lots of new content to share with you all. And, we couldn't have done it without a lot of you trusting us with your rigs so we can make more videos. I'm not going to bother listing off all the dudes who've helped us out because that's a long list to remember. You know who you are and we thank you.

Indeed, most helpful. The community in general, and your DIY videos in particular were factors in my decision to go with a 3rd gen. In all honesty, the 3rd gen would have likely been my choice regardless, but it was so much easier knowing I had those videos to lean on and you to consult.

Look-forward to working with you after the New Year!

Hey Tim & Sean, these 3rd gen trucks are awesome to begin with and this forum is a goldmine of great info to go along with them — but then you add all the videos you two have created, and well, it’s just pure icing on the cake for us 3rd gen folks. Not only do you guys have videos on damn near everything relevant to 3rd gens, but the editing and detail you guys put into this is very apparent and very appreciated.

I always look up your videos anytime I’m about to do something ive never done on my truck and these days it seems like I usually find one your videos just waiting for me. In fact, I’m going to be doing the rear axle seals/bearings soon and will be reviewing the videos you & Sean have done on the subject. It’s been a while since I saw them but I recall they were highly detailed and have all the part numbers and tool info required for the job. It’s that kind of thought & preparation that really shines through in your videos and keeps us all coming back for more.

Don’t stop doing what you guys do — it’s working! I hope 2019 is even better for you both :hat:

I will second the above comments as well. Thank you guys for putting your videos out for us all. As a newer T4R owner myself, it sure is nice having some well put together videos to follow, that not only inform, but that also motivate us as owners of the vehicles to maintain and improve them. You guys rock. Thanks again and keep them coming!

Hey Woody, one of these days you're going to have to get off your ass and come to one of our parties. It would be cool to meet you. We're probably going to have 3 parties this coming year. I hope you can make one or more of them.

Congrats, though I am still waiting for the bushing replacement for the tranny shifter. Maybe next year.

How are you liking working on the 5th gen? My sis won’t let me nor my brother touch her 2013 sr5, probably with good reason.

Favorite video has to be the one with Mike and his 2uz. That still is a hope for me one day.

Funny that you mention the 2UZ. I had just watched a video and was surprised that the guy said it was one of the easiest swaps he's ever done.

You know, I had my shifter out recently on my 98 because I replaced the transfer case shifter seat. I didn't bother filming it because we sort of show it in our transmission replacement video. I think when we make the video for the trans shifter bushings I'll also do the transfer case shifter seat as well. Marlin Crawler makes a shifter seat for our transfer cases. We'll do it at some point.

Congrats Timmy! Your videos not only provide me with the confidence of doing some of the repairs myself, I also enjoy watching them while I’m doing my cardio. I can kill time and learn something at the same time. Please keep them coming! Thank you for all you do!
 
Your videos make the difference between doing the work myself or not doing it, I wouldn't know where to start otherwise (I guess the FSM...)

I just picked up a RUST-FREE 2000 limited with e-locker and multi-mode. Front left corner was smunched. I'm going to turn it into my SICK MODS truck.

Damage doesn't look too bad, the only real damage beyond the front left core support and fender is the lower control arm brackets that got bent. Should be a pretty easy repair.

I’d like to share that I really appreciate that you do not edit out any of your learning mistakes, it helps us all learn and avoid the potential lumps. You always end up getting it done proper and that is where the confidence gets passed along
