left for Kentucky at 8 Sat morning. Got back home ( Lower SC ) 1:35 am
round trip was 1147 miles
4.5 tanks of gas...
my conquest TSi now has a new home
Cody's dolly also set a new speed record im sure... i doubt if its ever been 120 mph.
i drove the trip there and back by my self. stoped for Lunch in Knoxville, TN, and dinner in Nashville on the way back. Also stoped for gas 5 times, and stoped at 4 diffrent rest stops. I spent less then 45 mins at the guys house who bought the car ( after i helped him clean up where he fell through the celing earler that day... ) then got right back on the road. I estimate my total time behind the wheel around 14.5 to 15 hours today,( truckers are only aloud to spend 8 hours in a given 20 period behind the wheel legaly i think ) which would give me an average speed of 74.6 mph for the estimated 15 hours of drive time. not to bad for hauling a car 4 states away. Gas mileage on the trip down averaged out to a crisp 12 mpg, and 22 mpg on the way back ( most of the trip back was spent with the cruise control set on 80 -90 ) 4runner performed flawlessly. no skips, never got at all hot, brakes did awesome. It towed a 3k pound car very well for only having a 3.4 v6 i was very impressed. I also managed to race a PowerJoke 7.3 F350 which was pulling a horse trailer twice as long as my 4 runner ( i lost ) and i raced some kid in his dads taurus se on the ride back ( i won ) haha win some ya loose some.
