Just got a nail in my tire. Arrgggg!!!! Don't suppose there is some sort of coverage for that?

If it ain't the sidewall I bet the dealer fixes it for free!!! Otherwise it should be <$20 at any tire place.
I've got road hazard coverage thru the BS Nitrofill system that my dealer padded the sticker with.

I got a thorn in my right rear when I went to the desert to sight in some rifles a week after I bought my TE. Drove to the dealer on the spare ( BTW a pain to lower the spare since the manual does not say to put the bar at a angle). At first they said no new tire, I said I wrote you a pretty big check last week. Taking my sons to lunch at a place across the street call me when you replace the tire :biggrin2:

Drove home after lunch with a new replacement tire. Can't hurt to ask :biggrin2:

If the nail is in the sidewall, the tire is likely toast. However, if the nail only penetrated the tread, many tire shops will fix the flat for free, even if they don't sell that particular brand of tire! Always a nice way to get you to consider them the next time your in the market for tires. I've experienced this from Les Schwab (west coast) and Big-O tire dealers.

Did you get the extended warranty? In Canada the Toyota ECP gives you road hazard coverage on your tires

Not as good as Les Schwab (I miss them), but Discount Tires here in Florida does the same.

same exact thing happened to me a few months ago. I was soooo pissed. I got the tire patched for like $30 bucks

a plug is temporary a patch is a permanent fix. fyi

Doesn't the dealer handle the road hazzard on the tires for new cars?

When I bought my 4runner it came with paperwork for the factory tires (granted I can't recall what it is now).

But when I had my Tundra, I had an issue like this, and I took it to the dealer and they fixed it for free.

So I have safe-guard coverage I remembered. They reimburse all tire and rim repair/replacement. And they come onsite free of charge for all dents, dings, scratches and windshield repair for 5 years. I LOVE Toyota!!
