120k Suggested Service?

So when i take it to the mechanic for a 120k "tune up" what do i need to request them "tune up"? I've always changed my own oil, full synthetic now, and Its about time to change it again... so oil, filters-- do I need to ask for new plugs and wires too? what about rotating tires and stuff? and what is involved in changing the drivetrain fluids, could i do it or would i need a shop to do it?

When was the timing belt changed, if never I would have that done and the water pump while its all apart. All fluids should really be changed. Have you done brakes, did you completely bleed the system? Coolant should certainly be changed as well as the diffs, xfer case, if 4wd of course, and tranny. You could easily change the diffs and xfer yourself, no harder than an oil change, same goes for a manual tranny. You could do the auto but I would take it to a shop and have it flushed w/ the machine. Check your belts and hoses and replace what looks worn. Lube up the driveshaft, new air filter and pcv. Plugs and wires are a good idea as well. Maybe even new shocks if they are still original.
what I have done
Mine has 125k on it and runs like a top. I would say new plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, injector clean (a good gas tank additive or the dealer injector clean...your choice), check water pump for leaks, replace timeing belt if not already done within last 70k, and of course, any fluids due.
The only other input I have is stear clear of the Bosch plat +4 plugs. I had them in and developed a ping in my engine. Upon further investigation I found that in the #3 cylinder the contacts had broken off and were inside my cylinder chamber. Lucky for the near bullet proof toyota engine...I just used a shop magnent to fish out the pieces and shavings and she runs fine after going back to other plugs.

the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 94K so they're still good right? Are there any write ups on changing drivetrain fluids? I had my front brakes done not to long ago, so what about the back? Shocks- they're still stock, but i'm planning on lifting soon so should i wait till then when I have everything apart? What brand of shock do you guys recommend? Sorry for all the questions, I'd ask my dad but all he knows is old Chevy 4x4s, He dosen't like the "Jap Crap" I'm drivin :bash:

Take it to a certified Toyota dealer. If you purchased your 4Runner at a Toyota dealership, take it there.
Tell the service advisor you're up for 120K service. Tell him to look at what they suggest needs to be changed. If they want your business in the future, they will only change or replace what need be. If they go ahead and just blindly do all the suggested service and charge you full price, find another Toyota dealer.
Wait for the lift with shocks unless you really need them. Go with Bilsteins.
