120V Compressor Recommendation for Tires

Hey guys, here's what I'm looking for. About once a month I want to drive the Runner home from the cabin for maintenance/mods, but home base is about 75 miles away. I take it off roading pretty much every weekend and use a little 12V inflator to make 1-2 lb adjustments, but when I need to take it home and get the PSI up to 35-40lbs it takes FOREVER - I'm sure the 7000 ft elevation doesn't help either.

I can run an extension to the driveway so I figure a 120V would probably be faster. Anyone have a fairly portable compressor recommendation that can get my 33's from 20 to 40 lbs is a decent amount of time?

I have a cheap 3 gallon one at home, but it takes 15 min to fill the tank and it barely fills one tire - spending an hour to fill tires blows .

Without getting crazy, just get something at Home Depot or Lowes, even Sears. They are all imported but a small 20 gallon 1 or 2 hp would do just fine!

Since you're concerned about time, a continuous duty compressor will fill faster. It pushes air on each stroke instead of every other stroke. It makes a big difference in thinner air.

How about a CO2 tank? Portable and super quick.

That's what I have for wheeling trips… and running air tools on the trail.
