I plan to install one or two constant power outlets. I couldn't decide the best location.
This tread is not a "how to" tread. Please post pics or describe your best location(s).

Thank you,

Question, there is an extra 12v wire under the Ashtray spot. It you ad the ashtray to get the extra 12v plug, you just connect the wire underneath. Meaning there is a seperate power wire that is not being used. My question is, is it constant or not and is it live now, or does it have to be connected at the fuse box??

And the capacity limitation of 120W is for both the power outlet and the lighter combined.

I am going to have to disagree on this one. the lighter is powered by the 10A CIG fuse while both the front and rear 12V outlets are powered by the 15A PWR Outlet fuse.

Maybe it's year-dependent. My owner's manual says the CIG fuse has no circuit.

I wouldnt do that to you...I was referring to the 03 specfic manuals.

Additionally I know they are seperate as I supply power to my dvd headrests using both sources...always available memory power comes from my modded 12v power point circuit and accessory power comes from my non-modded cig circuit so that the headrest cannot be left on when the vehicle is powered down.
