12V Power source that is in sync with headlights?

Most any of the dash lights near the radio would do the trick. It's also likely there's already one in the stock radio wiring harness.
Crutchfield folks are very good at helping you track down such things. Maybe give them a call or chat. The Metra harnesses I think have one listed in the car harness but I can't find their color listing at the moment.

That's who I talked to, they said because I had the shitty TomTom stereo that has no harness I had to cut and splice everything together. Everything works great except for the auto dim when I turn my lights on, they said as long as I connect the wire from the radio to a 12v source that dims with the headlights it should work, problem is I don't know where a 12v wire would be that is connected with the headlights. It can't be on all the time or my radio won't ever dim.

Yeah, I'm confused. So you're saying you didn't use any kind of adapter harness from your aftermarket stereo to your existing truck wiring?? That's a huge pain in the butt. You hacked and butt-spliced or soldered all the new connections?
Somewhere in the existing harness there's already a switched source from the headlights. With the radio on, just the faceplate in my truck is illuminated (OEM stereo). Turn on the lights and the area around the buttons lights up (along with all the HVAC controls, etc.). You shouldn't have to look far but I don't know what the color combination is or which plug it's located in.

I don't get why you just don't connect your illumination light with the harnesses illumination light wire...
It's either violet or black/white. Use a multimeter to double check.

The Urban Runner/Trail Edition doesn't have the same harness as normal SR5 or Limited, I don't have all the wires other people have, hence why Crutchfield told me I had to splice everything together. They said today that I don't have an illumination wire available on my vehicle harness, so I will need to find some other 12v wire that turns voltage on/off with the headlights, just like it would if I had an illumination wire on my harness.

Hmmm. That sucks. I had an issue with my JBL version but was able to find the Illum + and illum - wire and get mine to work. The instructions only told me to connect the illum + and not the neg, but once I connected both it worked great.
I would imagine that there’s an illum wire on your harness because your UR radio had to have dimmed with your headlights on. BUT, if you can’t find the wire diagram, and you don’t mind running a long wire, you can try tapping an illum wire off one of your switches. I did a mod thread on adding grill marker lights. I added a switch on my center console and tapped the DAC button so that the switch light turns on/off with the headlights. Maybe try that?

You might be able to tap into one of the wires to the climate controls. I know that the dimmer switch only works on the climate control lights when the headlights are turned on

be careful with the dimmer wire. if you use the wrong one, you can kill the dimmer switch.
use a multi-meter and test the wires with parking lights. once the parking lights trigger, it should illuminate.
