Ok so i have a 02 limited runner and she's getting 14mpg IF that.. I do some city driving but i commute 30 mins on highway everyday about 23 miles there and 23 back so im just sitting there watching money fly out the window... literally. Ok so far here are some things i have done to try to improve it a little.

K&N Filter.
SeaFoam in the tank. Once.
Increased tire pressure to 40 ( 35 recommended )
Windows up while on the highway.
Dont use AC much.
And taking it easy as can be on the gas and trying to keep the RPM's low when driving.
Normal speed is around 70 on HW.

What can i possible do to make this a little better.

I dont want to have to tear into the carb and clean it. Im gonna flush the tranny a bit. But what else is there to do????? Oh it has roughly 112000 miles on it.

Have you went Mudding lately? I went Off-Roading & Mudding...was only averaging 7mpg. Went home & used the pressure washer, mud everywhere & ran the hose to the radiator for 30mins...I'm back to getting 17mpg

If you went Mudding, you will be surprise how the radiator sucks up a lot of mud & how much it will come out.

It only takes like 20-30 mins to clean the maf sensor and TB. Fuel filter could be clogged as well. When the last time you replace your spark plugs?

How do you clean all of these??? And what kind of spark plugs are the best to get?

Here, this link will guide you step by step on how to clean your TB and MAF. http://www.top4runners.com/ja/cleantb.html As far as spark plugs go, I would just use the Denso plugs that the Toyota dealership sells. They are like $3 each. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get a fuel filter while you are there as well.
