15" rims on a limited runner?

Ok im on the hunt for some new tires and i cant seem to confirm or deny if 15" rims will fit over the larger limited brakes? Anyone know? Will 15" 2nd gen runner wheels fit? 15" steelies? Or am i stuck with 16"+?

I dont plan on going to the Tundra calipers ever, so theres no need to plan for that either.

there are some 15s that will work with 4runners or tacomas that comes with 16 inch rims, i've personally seen it, let me ask my buddy next week and i'll let you know, keep in mind that they are quiet expansive.

If the limited has a larger diameter brake rotor, then I can about assure you that a 15" wheel will NOT clear the rotor/caliper

The only real way to tell is to get your butt under the car and inspect the clearance of your calipers.

The Limited's came with "13 calipers - I think they are too big for the little "15 rims, I don't think I have ever seen a 3rd gen Lmt'ed with 15's and 2nd gen wheels for that matter. It would probably be easier to find cheap OEM "16 rims and go from there.

It also depends on the year of the limited. TFJ-4runner has 15's on his 96 Limited. I'm not sure what he had to do to fit them.

I think if you really want to make them work, it's possible. But it would require some shaving of the inside of the wheel.

i have seen it, do not really remember which rims they were, but i do remember the guy saying that there a re very few that fit, and he did have to do a little bit of work to the inside of the rim. If you dont mind me asking why do you want 15" rims, do you have tires laying around, or do you really like a set of 15's, if you need 16's, i have a really good set of 16" from an 02 Tacoma i would sell to you.

I know for a fact that 15's won't work if your 4runner came with 16" rims stock. I found out the hard way by buying some 15" wheels and sold them 2 days later because they wouldn't fit. Maybe if you have some crazy backspacing that keeps a majority of the wheel off the caliper it will work, but i'm thinking your not going for the jdm "stretched/flush" look.

The Wheeler's Off Road 15" wheels will fit a Tacoma that came stock with 16" wheels but you may need a spacer to clear them on a 4Runner, I can't say for sure though.
