15 SR5 Premium N-Fab Recommendation?

I just took off my stock running boards and want to put on a pair of n-fab black bars. I noticed a few different places sell them and from the looks of it, some places have 2” bars and some have a 3” bar.

Curious as to what some of you went with, places to avoid due to crappy quality, etc. I wasn’t sure if some places sold knockoffs or crappier quality than other places.

I bought mine from 4 Wheel Parts and they are 2”. Also, on the NFab site for 5th gens, they list the dimensions as 2”.

By the way, I had to warranty my first set - 4 Wheel Parts was great to deal with, and now I have a new set for sale. I’m moving to sliders since I think I’ll be off-road a bit more.

I had N Fabs on my truck and they were garbage. I’d never own another set. The durability of the coating was atrocious.

What happened to the coating on yours, Trixx? Did it start to rust and fall apart? Looks like they offer a decent warranty. I just hate the look of the running boards I have right now.

Love the Look

I have the 2" set and really like the look and function. The finish isn't the best but not hard to remove them and recoat/paint as necessary. I purchased mine recently from AutoAnything for $304.99 delivered. I used the chat function on their website and got them down on price. The issue with the warranty is...you are looking at around $100 to ship them back. Might as well get a can of Rustoleum if it comes to that.

I just installed a set. Every 5th gen I've seen in this town seems to have them. That's how I even knew what to look for.

Appreciate the response! I checked a few sites and it looks like the parts are T1464R (4wheelparts, autoanything, runningboard warehouse) and T1360R (autoanything).

I’m never off roading or in a wintery place (Austin, Texas) so I’m not too worried about weather or salt. How much are you wanting for your new 2” set shipped to 78748?

I was asking $300 for local delivery in NE Ohio. You can probably get a better deal on some local ones due to the sipping I’d have to charge.

The costing started failing in like less than 6 months. Chipping off in pieces.

I do see they offer a warranty, but on big heavy cheap items they often (no idea here) make you pay shipping both ways which would practically offset the new cost.

If you have no real need for actual sliders, in that case I’d still say the n fabs do Beat the hideous oem boards.

I had N-Fab's on my old Tacoma and my last 4runner I traded in. I see you're in Austin. You won't have any issues with the coating here in Texas. I lived in South Texas and made frequent trips out to South Padre Island and drove on the beach. No rust issues or coating issues. Very easy to install also. Look around on craigslist and Facebook before you go buy a brand new set. You could easily save yourself 50 percent.

I took a look on Craigslist but didn't see anything out there. I pulled the trigger this morning and snagged a pair off AutoAnything for $313 shipped. Appreciate the input from everyone.
