15" to 16" rim question

I've got a good deal on a set of 16" 1996 4runner rims ($50 for all 4). My question is will they fit on my 1999 4runner SR5. If I want them I need to pick them up this monday so if there are any issues I need to know prior, thanks ahead of time :sadwave:

The reason I want 16" rims is because I want to do the Tundra brake upgrade plus they look better than 15" rims

Yes, they will work. You'll need new tires though.

I don't know why somebody would go from 16" to 15" but I do know the front brakes are bigger on the 16" wheel vehicles. So that stands to reason 15" wheels won't fit because there is not enough room for the brakes.

If you have a lift or bigger tires, make sure the backspacing is the same or you may rub.
