15" Wheels on a 98 Limited?

My 98 Limited has 16" factory wheels, brakes, etc. I have a chance to buy some clean 15's with near-new 31x10.5 R15 **** Cepeks.

Will the 15" wheels fit up or are the factory brakes for this year too big?

My guess is no, that you have upgraded brakes over the base model, so 15" won't fit. But it wouldn't take much effort to pull a front wheel off and test fit the 15" wheel. Then you know for sure.

But I wouldn't do it, even if the tires and wheels you want are free. The Tundra Brake Upgrade (TBU) is well worth it. I would keep that option open. If you are satisfied with your current brakes, you probably have 199mm calipers already. So 15" wheels wouldn't fit.

If you aren't thrilled with your brakes, keep running 16" wheels and keep the TBU option open. More deals on wheels/tires will come up, be patient.
