$150 to spend???

I've got $150 to spend on accessories for my 03 4runner. First off, it's a daily driver and spends 95% of the time on the road. The rest of the time isn't anything serious (don't go trail riding or anything with it). For right now, it's 100% stock. What should I get? Some considerations are bull bar, floor liners for the front and cargo area, skid plate for the front, or tint the front windows to match. I'd like something functional, and I'm not limited to what I mentioned, I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks!!!

Ok....If I was u and with the winter around the corner...I'd go with the weathertech floor liners front and rear.

JAC, this is almost the same question u posted awhile back, & u gave one of the same answers u got, ha, ha, it is a good one though, so i second the weathertec floor liners, theyre great.

$150 for mats is a little pricey. I'd say go with HIDs.

I've read through JAC's thread, and that made me really think of the weathertechs. However, I agree with the above statement, $150 (actually more than that for the front and cargo) for floor mats is a little much. It's a dd, I do get a lot of loose dirt over time, but it isn't too bad. As far as winter, not much snow here in Arkansas, so keeping the carpet dry isn't a huge issue.

I've considered HID's, but I'm actually happy with the output right now. I had a 96 Mustang (which has horrible output anyway) with smoked lights. Output was terrible, so the 4runner lighting lights up the world for me. There's a ton of stuff I'd like, such as HIDs, but if I'm happy with what I got why change it? Nothing I've thought of so far is justifiable with the cost.

$150 isn't much to play with. For functionality, I like the winter floor mats idea. Depending on how you drive (you did mention you spend a lot of time in the car) and your weather conditions, I'd consider upgrading the lights. If you're ok with the existing low and high beams, I'd still consider upgrading the fogs to a 2500K bulb to improve dark weather visibility and to provide contrast. Look at Hella Optilux XY (Extreme Yellow) lamps. You can get them for about $20-25 a pair shipped.

Either those ideas or save another $150 or so and install a TRD CAI.

If the weathertech are 2 pricey for u...you can always go with the Husky liners...I believe they are about $50 cheaper than the Wttech.

For the front and rear HUsky it will be around $120 I think.

If visibility is an issue for you I wouldn't spend money tinting the windows and if u go lighter than stock...it will be a waste of money .

I just got weathertech floor liners, and they are great. I think they are well worth it!

I'd get the weathertech floor liners. They look really good in the truck and are so much easier to clean than carpets. Plus you don't get all that dirt/water/spilled Big Gulp sitting there and funking up your cabin.

Here are a couple cheapish ideas:

I got a rollaway plastic box (like the ones you put under the bed) for the cargo area - they don't look so bad and are really good for coraling groceries, hiking boots, and other assorted messy stuff. Easy to clean, and smaller of course than the cargo mat so things dont roll around as much. $6 from Target.

Cargo net! (if you want to be a bit more high end about grocery containment!) $25-$40 depending on where you get it from.

Thin black rubber mat - cut out chunks of it and put it in the various console holders to prevent said console holder bottoms from getting scratched up. Or, if they are already scratched up, the rubber mat hides the scratches. Also stops stuff from jangling around so much.

If you up your allowance by about $50 or so then try the Wet Okole seat covers. They have extra padding in them which make the seats a bit more comfy, plus they look good and will save you money in upholstery cleaners

All great info, thanks guys! The seat covers are tempting, especially if they add comfort. My 4runner has 125k miles, so keeping it in new condition is already out of the question. There are several small tears on the drivers side seat the covers would help, so I'll keep that in mind. I've really been wanting a leveling kit, but it has absolutely no function for me. Sure it'd look good, but I know there are other things that provide functionality and are more needed at this time. Any others? Thanks again for the input.

I've got a quote on the tint. For both fronts at 20% and a brow across the front windshield it's gonna be $100. I've went to a couple other shops, but none will do it due to legal issues. I'm really thinking that's gonna be the way I go, then save the rest for later mods. However, I'm still thinking there's something out there I'll like better as well, so I'm listening to suggestions.

Haha, and that's exactly what I'm trying to prevent. My last ride was a 96 Mustang Cobra, talk about addicting. Once I started, I couldn't stop and ended up have way more in the car than it'd ever be worth. This is my daily driver, so I'm not getting to extreme. I'm gonna do a little here, little there, and eventually have it where I want it but that'll be a long process.
