I've learned a lot from this site. I'm by no means a great mechanic, but I know how to do the simpler things on my T4R.
But more importantly, I know what things need to be done and when, along with approximate costs prior to taking it to my shop. That way I know I'm not getting ripped off or charged more than I should. Thanks T4R!
I do have a local guy who works on my truck. Very reasonably priced and he never recommends doing things I know don't need to be done.
OP, take this as a lesson learned. You know you can research on here regarding what things cost (actual part and labor time/cost) and when they need replacing or fixing.
