$15k budget for reliable SUV

Hey all,

Currently looking for used reliable SUVs that can be used for daily driving with a light commute. Budget is $15k. Would the 4th gen T4R be a good option? Not looking for any fancy technology, just a reliable suv to get the job done with hauling large items around.

Where would be the best place to look? Any tips?

You should have no problem finding a 4th gen 4Runner for under $15k. I got my '04 eight months ago for $10k. Of course prices vary in different regions, as well as the condition of the vehicle. Take a look on your local Craigslist or Cars.com.

Yep, I don't see a problem, for that range the miles will probably be 80-100K

Got my 06 sport for 12.8k with 80,000 miles last year. Shouldn't be a problem, just going to have to be patient if you want a good deal. I spent about 3-4 months searching for mine before I jumped on it.

$15k should get you a very nice 06+ with reasonable miles on it. These are very well built and reliable trucks so they are a great choice imo.

One of the most reliable SUV's out there. It will be money well spent. My uncle has a V6 4th gen on 300,000 miles, original powertrain.

$15k will get you a sweet 4th gen down here.
I'm on the hunt too, but with a lower budget, so my options are limited.
