I am taking my runner in tomorrow for a service. This is the first time to the dealer. They will do an oil change, torque the drive shaft and rotate the tires. Is there anything else I should have them do??

It would have been the maintenance light, not the check engine light. If it was a CEL, I would hope that it would have been in for service when that happened.

And as for when people bring in their car for service, depends.. You could do some of it on your own..

Mine came on at 12K miles. I think it varies.

The service light is what I meant...

My service manual and little gift certs for all my free oil changes tell me what they do.

However, I did find out that if ICE or mud builds up in your wheels and throws them off of balance. This is NOT covered by your warranty. LOL!

How do you distinguish between engine oil change maintenance and something else by the light?

The only time my maintenance light has come on was when it was due for an oil change.
