17" 03 wheel weight?

Thanks.

I just pulled up the listing myself. that gets us in a close ballpark of weight.
I'll keep fishing, but seems like we are somewhere around 30-35.
By the listing, it seemed like that was his estimate with the box as well, which doesn't weigh that much.

Weight of the wheel may make a difference to the performance enthusiast. A heavy rim will increase unsprung weight, which may affect extreme performance (handling, braking, etc.).

However, this is a moot point with the 4runner, which weighs over 4200 lbs and with a high center of gravity.

The above consideration is mainly for high-performance sports cars.

I'm asking because I'm interested in putting some light weight wheels on mine. Centerline has some 17" that are around 19lbs.

rensho,

If and when you buy, can you post a picture of them on the vehicle? I like the STINGRAY III best. I was looking seriously at the BBS wheels Toyota TRD sells (18 X 8) and putting 285/55 X 18" Michelin Pilots on them. Decisions, decisions.

I have Michelin Pilot on my M3...awesome tires! Relatively quiet...great handling. It is also one of the lightest TIRE you can buy...so it's worth it's $$$$$.

Since your 4runner is all-season, you may want to look into the Michelin Pilot A/S:

It's probably the sportiest all-season tire you can buy...but, like all Michelin tires, it's expensive.

Thanks Thai,
Unfortunately the only Michelin Pilot tire that comes in at around 30.5 inch OD is the Pilot LTX in the stock 265/65R17 and the 285/55R18 in a 1 inch larger rim size. Michelin sure has some neat looking tires in its Pilot line-up, but, most are too small to fit the 4Runner.

Thats kinda interesting that you would put Michelins Pilot AS on a 4Runner

My dad has the Pilot AS on his GS 430 in 235/45/17 size.

I didnt realize these would for sport suvs(big rimed trucks)

Whats the biggest size these tires come in?
