i paid $500 for 4, but they had pretty much new BFG AT's on them, which is the real reason i wanted them.

Keeping rims... i was just curious


I have 40k on my stock dunflops. Are they worth anything??? Could I sell them on craigslist?? Has anyone sold their old tires or should I just let the tire people take them when I get my Stts mounted??

About the tires, If it were me I would just ditch them because they're not gonna be worth much and it'd be pretty hard to sell them for anything cause people know how bad they are. I would just let them take 'em when you get new tires.

I find it surprising that the stock rims are in good shape.
Toyota's aluminum rims are horrible as far as corrosion resistance in a salty environment goes. My Taco's rims looked like hell after 4 years, and my T4R's are well on the way. =(

Their rims just can't cut it in areas where salt is used in the winter, as far as I can tell.

fyi, i got my 5 nearly new fj cruiser rims on craigslist for 125, and i saw quite a few sets of Sequoia and Tundra Rims, the popular ones, for 175ish. These were w/o tires, or almost dead tires.

I forgot, I sold my stock 17" sr5 rims, all 5 for 150-175, I don't remember.

lol..we have lots of salt here in OH. My rims still look great! I try and keep them rinsed off during the winter and try to keep em clean as possible

I've been through 3 1/2 winters and 100,000+ miles here in Michigan and the 17" 5-spoke rims are doing well. I only hand wash the truck and in good weather -- that means it doesn't get washed very often in the winter

I guess it's the YMMV factor.
