Hey Goofball. Stay off my posts. Asked you to move along.

WS is synthetic.
The Toyota dealer takes care of my transmission. They use T-1v they told me. It is nonsynthetic.
On the dealer's invoice, they charged me for 6 quarts. Don't know where you got 3 quarts.

Please get lost. You are not wanted advice. Go see a doctor.:car:

sorry buddy, this is a public forum & anyone is free to reply to your nonsense posts.

you really need glasses or work on your reading comprehension... i never said 3 qts, where do you see the number 3?? YOU said they charged you for 5qts multiple times, read your own post i quoted! you also originally asked WHY they would use T-IV in your WS trans & asked how to get it all out... remeber that? but now you claim your 4runner came new with T-IV... LOL!

you also said in the past they only used T-IV because they cant get WS at your dealership... not because its whats recommended by toyota! & again, read your owners manual, it specifically says to use WS rated fluid ONLY!

as ive said numerous times, i have tried to help you & so have countless others on this forum. why are you so angry & extremely contentious? you get all bent out of shape anytime someone tries to help you or corrects your misinformation or explains something you clearly dont understand. then you resort to calling them childish names & brag about a boat or post a pic of a fish... what does acting like that accomplish? you will get a lot more positive results if you act like a mature adult & learn from your mistakes or admit when you are wrong... but so far its clear you are not capable of that. you must be real fun to hang out with!

Toyota dealer uses Type 1V in my 2005. Says they can't get WS so they use it in most all the Toyotas they service and sell.

Some owners use Valvoline Max Life and go over 200,000 miles.

I wonder how big a deal what fluid you choose, and I've never read of anyone's tranny failing on an off-brand.

Valvoline says right on its bottle Good for Toyotas.

When I went to Toyota to buy WS, they didn't have it. They sold me more Type 1V.

I let them service my 4runner at 100,000 miles and they used Type 1V.

Be careful what you read on the internet. They are not Toyota dealers giving advice, selling and servicing Toyotas
I work for a dealer group and can see our Toyota store from my desk. I also know two master techs personally, as well as one of their service advisors (he was in my wedding).

I'll stick with their advice, which confirms what I've read on the internet.

EDIT: This is also taken from page 404 of the 2005 4Runner owners manual:
Notice: Using automatic transmission
fluid other than “Toyota Genuine ATF
WS” may cause deterioration in shift
quality, locking up of your transmission
accompanied by vibration, and ultimately damage the automatic transmission
of your vehicle.

In contrary from page 350 in the 2003 4Runner owners manual:
Notice: Using automatic transmission
fluid other than “Toyota Genuine ATF
Type T−IV” may cause deterioration in
shift quality, locking up of your transmission accompanied by vibration, and
ultimately damage the automatic transmission of your vehicle.

I would consider ordering some WS to replace the Type IV that's in your transmission. You can order a 6 pack on amazon for $55 here

BTW: Your advice sucks IMO. You got nothing too! Don't understand why you post to my link.

Got 150,000 miles on a 2005 4runner I purchased new, and the tranny still works like new. Most 4runner trannys don't go beyond 300,000 miles.

Like I said when my 4runner fails, I buy a new one with cash.

ok boomer.

my advice is all based on FACTS & is 100% correct. i have never said one single thing that isnt true on here to you or anyone, please post one single thing ive said that isnt true or "sucks", with PROOF. if you choose to think my advice sucks thats your choice... but then again you think synthetic oil causes head gasket issues... so theres that.

& where did you hear toyota transmissions dont last beyond 300k miles? plenty of members on here with 4runners & tacoma owners with a lot more than 300k on the stock trans. got a link or source to back that claim up? or you just making up stuff again? kinda like your 2005 owners manual says to use T-IV fluid? or that your 2005 4runner came new with T-IV fluid???

sorry if correct info offends you.... do you ever get tired of being wrong?

Ok children. If you have issues with each other then pm, email or meet in a parking lot. Just keep it out of the forums. Only warning.

uh, there are other people participating in this & the other threads...

the only issue i have is the wrong info that is posted, my replies are just trying to provide correct info & it turns it into a pissing match for some reason.

but as i said before, this is all a waste of time & i will gladly bow out... if its acceptable to post misinformation & insults on this forum then i apologize for getting involved.

carry on.
