17x9.5 -38 with 295s whats required?

I currently run 285/70/17 on scs 17x9.5 -38 ray 10s. I have the basic 3” OME lift suspension and spc upper control arms. When I put these rims and tires in I had a very aggressive body mount chop done and I have also cut a fair portion of the front valance and inner liner ahead of the wheels. Not quite as much as the sso high clearance cut but pretty close. I removed the mud flaps as well. So I need new tires now and I am thinking of going up to 295/70/17 BFG KM3. Aside from the current cuts and mods would I need anything else to prevent rubbing. I dont rub currently. Id like to keep it that way on and offroad. I have seen some folks have to bend a pinch weld flat?? Is that a thing?(pics pls)

I read through that one and was surprised I didnt see anything about the pinch weld. The eyeball test says I shouldnt have to do anything more. Well maybe trim the plastic end cap on the rocker panel.

I have ray10s in 17x9 -38mm wrapped in BFG KM3's in 295/70/17

I have an aggressive BMC, C4 clearance chop, mud flaps removed, aftermarket UCA (running JBA currently) with just under +4 caster, and the plastic rocker panel trim piece trimmed just slightly to prevent rub. I was able to keep that little piece on, just had to trim a little on the inside until it stopped rubbing.

Haven't had to touch the pinch weld yet

I think you will be fine. I am (as of today) running Cooper Evolution M/T's in 35" on the same wheels that you have. I also have JBA UCA's and my caster is around 3.5. I have a full front bumper (Hefty) so I can't help you with what you may need to do in front of the tire, but in the back if you already have the BMC done you should be fine. I actually need to have my BMC done even more aggressive since I am touching in the back. I also need to cut the fender corner back even more, but I should be able to still keep it. Not sure if my info is helping much, but bottom line, 35's" are much larger than 295's so you should be good.
