18% tint on front windows?

Tint shop has 18% not 20%. I had 20% done on my 08 4Runner and it was darker than the back. The 3rd gen looks to have darker factory glass. Anyone done 18% on front with stock rear sunscreen glass?

Yup, I've got 18% tints on my front 98' 4runner. The guy told me that they recently changed it over the past year from 20% to 18% because people were complaining that 20% was lighter than the back windows when they were wanting to match them. Factory glass tint on rear windows is 18%. Mine matches perfect.

What is the next highest option above 18%?

I dont remember, I think 38%. Last time I had a vehicle in for tint the choices were:

5%, 20% and 35%

He had 20% but it was a "metallic". I was going to get the BMW done too but I dont know WTF to get on that. Was thinking 35% all around but they dont have it.

That's crazy. There should be at least one or two options between 18 and 38.

I'd definitely go with 18 over 38 though.
