They're discontinued...Toyota went with unibody and made them front wheel drive only.

i've seen some weird places that have a bunch in something like a car parking lot. a bunch of new cars with toyota logos everywhere. big toyota signs. not sure what they're called but that's the first place i'd check out. :flypig:

maybe not that bad.I can wait a couple months for a new model.I dont expect much in the way of changes,just like NEW stuff. I live in the Cherokee Natl Forest and have recently been introduced to the FS roads. We went for 8hrs recently and never saw any other humans. I was so impressed I sold my GT500 that I hardly ever drove and will be getting a TRD O.R Prem.

Baffled that anyone parts with $35K+ for a new 'Runner when so many great used examples of all gens are out there. They last forever and offer fantastic value for the money. But to each his/her own.
In my findings, a few year old runner with <30K on it, was only a few grand short of what I paid new.
Since I don't drive too much during the week, it was worth caughing up a little more scratch to get something that doesn't already have ~3 years of mileage on it.
case in point was at the dealership I bought mine, they had a 2013/14 specced just like mine with 36K on it and wanted 36 or 37 grand. I got my 2015 for 40. My 2015 still has less miles than the used one. Worth 3-4K in my book.

Yes but you can get a 4runner with 2/3 of its life left for 1/3 the price of new. Hardly anybody drives their truck for more than 100k anyway.

Calculate what it costs over a 36 month period to own a new rig from dealership to selling at 36 months versus buying a 5 year old rig, driving/maintaining, and selling it 36 months later.
You'll see the costs aren't much different. Might as well be driving something newer and nicer.

Don't bring logic into this forum.
If that's on the table, I somewhat agree. For me, this car is going to stay in the family for some time. I can't say I'll be the driver forever, but I know the old lady would love it in place of her Forester.
Few more months and it'll be fully paid off. Then we have an easy decade plus with a car that we know 100% of the history on.

Ive had the GT500 since new in '13.I didn't drive it much,8500mi. I also will need the garage space for my 4runnert.I also have a newish mustang GT that I have set up the way I want. It's a blast to drive and fast enough. It also isnt worth nearly as much as my Shelby was so I dont worry about it as much.
As stated above I dont want a used ride. I like new stuff that I will maintain to my standards till I find it a new home.

Overkill for what I intend to do with it. The ORP will be fine.
