1986 Toyota 4Runner Lower Control Arms

I have been doing some research on getting some replacement lower control arms. The Toyota parts are discontinued. ( 48068-35040 and 48069-35040). I found a set of Dorman LCA’s and it cross referenced the 1st gen and 2nd gen 4Runner.

Will the 2nd gen 4Runner LCA’s work on a 1st gen?

Has anyone replaced their LCA’s with any aftermarket ones?

I used lower control arms from a 2nd Gen 4Runner on my 86 and it seemed to work well.
