199 Tundra Calipers

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Tundra 199 caliper mod. I found this package deal on amazon that includes Raybestos calipers, pads and Brembo rotors for $263.15. Does anyone have any insight using Raybestos calipers and the Brembo rotors? Is there anything else I will need with this kit? Thanks.

They usually sell the rotors in sets of 2. Go to Toy dealership and get the 199mm pads, they are the best bet.

Just a heads up if anyone is buying this package deal, you only get 1 rotor with this deal. And it doesn't come with the pads like the description says. No big deal to me. I still want to get the TRD brakes anyway. Kinda pissed about the rotor though. At least Amazon still has has free shipping on it anyway. Oh well, still a good deal.

Thanks for the heads up Mojo29. I will likely be making the exact same purchase in 2 or 3 months when it comes time to change my brakes.

TRD brake packages for the 4Runner start at $2600, your better off doing Tundra brakes instead. You can get a decent set of rotors for around $100. You don't need slotted or drilled. The larger rotor is a big part of the upgrade, couple that with some semi-loaded calipers and your good for under $500.

Yeah I ment to say TRD pads. My bad. Does anyone one know how to post a pic in a thread? I saw some pics of the Tundra brake mod and am unsure if I need this particular piece. I have a pic, just don't know how to post it. Thanks.

I have all the parts I need. Just checked with the dealer, bought my pads and shims ($100+$58) and I'm good to go. I just hope I don't break the brake lines taking them off. Can't wait to finally be able to stop with out the truck pulling or shaking because of these crappy brakes.
