I dont do alot of car repairs and have never even changed oil, but I am very interested in saving money these days. My truck has a working thermostat and working water pump. Yet the heater will not blow hot air and she overheats in under a 1/2 hr while idling. Whats even more puzzling is that when she begins to run hot, the hose that goes from the radiator cap down into the coolant reservoir blows steam or hot air down into the reservoir making it bubble steadily until the motor cools down a bit. No water in the oil or white smoke in the exhaust. I doubt I can fix her on my own, but I'd like to try. She's had a rough life but I love her and try to take care of her.
