1990 4Runner 3.4 swap

I own a 90 Forerunner 3.0 4x4 5speed that blew a head gasket. What would be more cost efficient, to fix or swap for 3.4? Does anybody have a complete list of parts for a turn key swap?

First, welcome to T4R
Second, it's a 4Runner, not a Forerunner (or even FourRunner tho that would be closer).
Third, unless you have lots of mechanical skills and tools, etc, it'll be cheaper to rebuild your 3.0.
There is no "turnkey" swap for the 3.4, there's a lot of custom work involved.
Spend a little time Searching here and on the web for 3.4 swap, and you'll find out what's involved.

Thanks for the info. Would there be any benefit to port and polish a new set of heads while the engine is apart, or go back with stock? Thanks

It wouldn't hurt to make any improvement like that, or a cam, etc while the engine is apart.
For rebuild parts you may want to check engnbldr.com, good prices, service, etc.

currently our shop is BOOKED till July 2013 ..

swap times depends on when we can secure a "good" motor ..
deposit is required , and this get the ball rolling with the "parts dept" to find (from our sources) the motor . We wont just buy any motor or just from anyone !! , so they are getting more rare everyday , and this is getting to be a wee bit of an issue , but we do our best .

on "Brads build" (currently in the shop) .. his motor has 80,000 kelometers .. just about NEW .

Do you rebuild the motors before you install them, or just freshen them up?

I'm seriously tempted. You're 14 hours away, once I get some credit cards paid off I might have to take a little vacation in BC!

that all would be "extra" .. we can do whatever you want , just depends on how "deep" your wallet is

just to let you know 80,000 kelometers = 49709 mi ... no need to rebuild this one !! , not saying there all this low of KM's , but we try , it is all on a case by case build

.
