1990 Toyota 4R 3VZE Intermittent start problem

I have NEVER had to add a starter relay and i have owned at least ten, 5 speed model's. I've never even heard of this. But if it work's it work's.

Wanna bet a properly-wired starter relay will fix Hadia's problem, IF he is absolutely sure the NSS is good?

Exactly what model-years do you have?
Know a good electrical engineer? Ask him if wiring encircled in red is correct...

I have not felt any difference in performance since the transmission flush.

A flush has absolutely nothing to do with a cranking problem, unless a dirty transmission affects connectivity of the NSS and cleaning it fixes the NSS.

My 1990 4Runner has a Starter Relay Hopefully cleaning the SNN will fix my problem.

How could your truck have a starter relay when the schematic shows a starter relay only exists on one with manual transmission?
Wanna verify?
Wanna take a CLEAR picture of your starter relay with colors of wires going to it clearly shown?

I'm not saying it won't fix his problem, i'm just saying i have never personally ran into that issue.

The manual trans version of that truck was wired WRONG AT THE FACTORY.

This is what's throwing me off about the information you are giving tho. You said the 5 speed truck was wired wrong from factory, however his truck is a automatic.

I am saying exactly what the schematic is telling you, or how to read the schematic:
1)The auto (A/T branch of schematic) does not have a starter relay (altho in earlier post Hadia says his truck has a starter relay. So I'm asking him to look for the starter relay and show it to us so we can help him.)
2) Looking at the schematic, it is also telling you that trucks with the manual transmission (M/T branch of schematic), which yours is NOT has a starter relay but it is wired wrong.

My apology! That one piece of relay information does not belong there. I have been dealing with this problem so long and in the meantime my son’s 03 Lexus ES300 started having “Start” issues too with same symptoms and the relay test was done on his car and not on mine. Starter replacement eventually fixed his car. Because of dealing with same issue on two cars at the same time, I got the two trouble shootings mixed up. The rest of the info is correct. Sorry for the confusion.
