1991 4Runner light bar

I am having the toughest time looking for a light bar or bull bar for my 1991 4Runner. Does anyone know of where I can goto to get a lightbar? I have looked in Defiant, Westin ect...

That ARB bull bar is pretty sweet and will fit but really way out of my price range. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, all I am really looking for is a light bar to mount some fog/ driving/ spot light on. I am in Southern Illinois and really dont need a big ole bumper w/ winch. Any other suggestions?

Ever though about going to a welding business and seeing if they can simply manufacture one? It's just a bent peice of pipe with tabs on the end, with holes drilled for the lights; i've never understood why they cost so much. After they make it, take it to a powdercoating shop for paint that will last. I bet I could get it done for less that $200. Just a thought.

That too is a great idea but im basicly lookin for a bolt up, no time to build one. Got many other projects to tend to.

91

As with my truck a 1991 isn't supported any more by after market parts. At this point you have to look for what you want. Craigs list, E-bay and the salvage yards are viable options as well as posting on the Forums. I wish you well in your search.

you could try to find one off a hilux surf it would probably bolt up but good luck finding one around here it would probably have to be shipped from japan etc. heres a pic i found on google but i dont have any info on it.

Paul from defiant truck products needs to get dimentions off the front of a 91 4runner to make a lightbar. Is that something you could possibly do?

No I haven't yet I'm in limbo with my r4 now. Just put over 4k into it with a rebuilt motor, new clutch, water pump, power steering pump, timing belts, thermostat, valve covers, spark plugs, hoses, tires and shocks. Yet it seems like I will never be done. A/c went out, Sunroof is busted and leaks, I can't get the check engine light to shut off due to knock sensor which was replaced twice, now I was told my whole front end (tie rods, bushings, etc) needs to be redone and my temperature gauge is all over the place....so I'm debating if sticking more money in at this point is even worth it

I've got a bull bar off of a hilux surf if you're interested. I'm in Texas, just north of Dallas. It's the factory one that says Toyota on it and also has PIAA Fog lights on it.
