1991 4Runner Rear window issue.

I have a 1991 4Runner and last night I rolled up the rear glass using the key. As soon as it was up however it would not roll back down. I thought this was the window motor so I swapped it out and it rolled up perfectly but again will not roll down. Any ideas as to why? Could it possibly be a relay of some sorts? When I turn the key I can hear an electronic clicking in the left(drivers) rear side(the opposite side as the tailgate lock). Thanks for your help.

Yes, there is a control board with a couple of relays.

Where is it located? Is that why it wont roll down? What is clicking? The relay?

I have a similar problem with my 1993 4runner. The window will not roll down with the key, but will roll up just fine with the key. It rolls up and down with the switch in the center console though.

I was wandering where the control board is so i can locate the relays are?

The relay is located behind the back inside panel on the driver side. You have to take the inside plastic wall off to get to it. I have an extra 2nd gen relay for sale if you end up needing one.
