I just recently bought a 91' 4runner its in great shape only 180k on it, the only thing I want to change out is the tires. What are the biggest tires that will fit in the wheel well without rubbing, and what do you all think are the best tires for your money? I am not going to do any crawling or anything but will run it off road a bit doing some camping and hiking but still want tires that won't ware down from daily driving. Suggestions?

31s with no rubbing, 33s rub a little, but not bad.

Also depends on the with of the tire (10.5 vs 12.5) and the back spacing of the rim.

As for tires, since its mostly a DD, look into an all terrain such as BFG AT or General Grabber AT

I have BFG AT T/A KO, but when I replaced my old spare I found a Primewell pa-100 from firestone. they're pretty damn sweet and much less expensive. Bought four more for my extra set of wheels. They ride well, both highway and road and they're pretty aggressive. I'd go this route if you're not up for shelling out the moolah. :guitar3:
