1991 T4R V6 - where is starter located?

I'm having starting problems and having gone through the archives here I am going to get a reman. starter and replace the old one.

How easy is it to remove/install the starter on a 91 V6?

(I did it on a celica once, wasn't bad.)

Where is the starter located on the 91 V6????

Are there any good instructions with photos on this job?

If it a 4X4, its going to be PITA to remove. One of the bolt holding the starter is not easily accessible. Starter should be located on the passenger side of the engine. Remove passenger side front tire, lift/remove rubber flap from the firewall. You should see it directly in front of you.

Yep - 4x4. I found it last night.

Boy that is a tight fit. I replaced it a couple of years ago. I think it took me 45 minutes to get one of the bolts out (2hrs total for the job) Of course the starter quit working about 6pm sunday eve (middle of winter) and the temp was about 31 degrees. Knuckle busters are much more painful when you hands are frozen
