1991 V6 getting tired, V8+Auto Options

My 1991 V6 is getting a little noisy, I noticed a white haze on the oil cap, its been using water, misfiring at cold startups and so on.

Not sure if I should rebuild the engine or look at the V8 options.

With the little searching I done so far there is a place somewhere in Australia called Marks Adaptors (I think), I asked them about what they sell for converting to a V8. I also asked about which option will allow me to keep an Automatic Gearbox. I never got a 2nd reply from them so I am not sure.

So I come here to find out which V8 engine can I use that will allow me to keep the machine as an automatic, if there is one, do I keep the same Auto or must I look for another one.

What I was told so far was I can use a Holden Commodore VR or VS 304 V8 if I want to stay with an Automatic, but it wasn't explained if I have to use the Holden Auto to keep the toyota Auto.

I have LPG on the thing and that is all I use, petrol hasn't worked in years, rubber seals on the inject perished some time later after I got bad fuel or used that ethonol blended fuels. So the V8 conversion ( If I do it should be good on LPG ). I need to keep an automatic cause of problems with my spine where operating a manual is near impossible.

Hope someone here can keep it simple for me.

Here in the states the GM 350 V8/TH-350 auto is a common swap in 80's Toys.
There are conversion kits to bolt it in and adapt to the Toy t-case.
Advance Adapters is the main manufacturer of conversion kits in the US, and Marks is an AA distributor. Possibly they can order one for you if you can't get it directly from AA yourself.
