I'm not going to say there is definite evidence of something funny going on there, but there are some things that stand out....

It appears there are additional coatings added to the frame, just looks too sloppy for original. Maybe a means to protect.

Interesting how the bolts on the TRE's widely vary in their rust/surface rust...

While I understand replacing belts due to age (and not mileage/use) as rubber cracks, it seems odd that the HG's were replaced but the radiator hoses weren't...

Don't get me wrong - it's a very nice vehicle. However you see this in the FJ40 world as well, where the pictures tell a slightly different story than what you're being sold... then those who REALLY know the vehicle will rip it apart. Not sure there are as many fanatical individuals for T4R's (esp 2nd gens) as there are FJ40 guys - who can see a bolt, latch, bulb, wire and say "that isn't original for that year".

a fool parted with his money. Look at engine bay, Frame, few other odds n ends didn't look right. Being a manual is good ends there for me. That is a crazy price.

14k and already had head gasket's done? Something doesn't add up like everyone else said.

Should've looked closer. The radio isn't correct either. A window sticker would tell a lot. Wild guess but it looks like my 1996 underneath. Mine has a dealer installed undercoating, and this one may have it as well. Common option in that era, and being a Massachusetts vehicle it seems logical. But we don't know for sure.

For that price, I would expect valve caps on the tires at least. And like dropzone said OEM hub-caps!

That being said she's a beauty, maybe the best-looking one I have ever perused.

Does anyone else have the window lock switch mounted in this location? Mine and all the other ones I've seen have been in the driver's door. Normal?

That window lock is for the back window, mine is there too.
