1994 is it a good year?

I just bought a 1994 4Runner today with 100,000 miles and was very happy with the SUV until I read some post Two recalls V6 and rear springs. Is there anything else I should known about this year. Thanks for your help.

4wd-Low, for info on 2nd gen 4runners, you may want to ask the same questions on this forum (it has more older 4runner owners):

I hate to do direct people away from this forum...but i think you will find more info on 2nd gen 4runners there. My knowledge on 2nd gen is limited.

Yes, 1994 is a good year, the head gasket re-call was the biggest concern. I see Thai is recommending another forum, we are getting more and more 2nd generation owners on this board and hopefully they can start talking to each other.

The good thing about this Board and some other 4Runner Boards is that we can mention each other and it is not a problem. For second generation owners I also like this Board:

Thanks, the guy who started the site has a 2nd generation 4Runner. He also has his own pesonal Web Page which I found has lots of valuable info, especially if you have a 2nd generation 4Runner. One of my favorite pages in his site is "Cool Rigs", he has links to hundreds of people with a personal 4Runner web page.
