1995 4Runner rear Window will not go up using Key

My 1995 4Runner rear window will not go up using the key in the rear door. When I turn the key to put it down, I hear a relay, and it works. When I turn the key to go up, I hear nothing, and it does not work. I used a meter and did verify the key switch in the rear door is OK.

( Note: The window will go up using the switch located between the front seats when the ignition switch is turned ON. )



Any ideas ?

I got one on ebay, they pop up regularly there for around $20.

i need to do the same to my '95. i assume that is a easy fix. just remove the back of the tailgate and install the new relay?

The relay is not located in the tailgate. It is under the driver side rear cargo panel. There is a vertical brace just forward of the taillight, you will see two screws, one holding a ground wire. Those screws hold the mounting bracket for the relay.

I have one that is like new that is good if you need one. Email or call if you are interested.
