1995 4runner towing issues

just bought a 95 4runner, looks like the hitch is factory if there is such a thing, trying to figure out how to put wiring in for towing, is there a plug underneath somewhere, or somewhere i connect up to. please help. new to these.

My 95 Runner can barely move itself, you're going to tow with yours?. I hope you aren't in a hurry to wherever you're towing. Mine didn't even come with a tow hitch! :sad:

Autozone sells an adapter that plugs in between your tail lights and the body harness. I forget the brand name (maybe Metra?) but they should be to look it up at the counter.

I bought a wiring kit from NAPA and wired mine up.... pretty easy. And I tow quite regularly with mine and no issues.

I installed a Lite mate/Pico number 6744 PT in mine. It crosses to a Hopkins 43315. It doesn't list this for 4Runners, but for pickups, but it will work. These are plug in not splice in.
