among other problems, the keyless remote entry does not activate the trunk latch release, nor does the key being turned in the keyhole. however the trunk key does raise the rear window when turned to the right. is the problem mechanical or electrical? how to fix? id like to be able to open the trunk. also, the neither of the keys i have will open any of the doors, you can only get in through the remote entry. they are the right keys because they car starts and one key unlocked a door once, but i couldnt get it again. anyone had similar problems? thanks

I don't think the lock in the rear hatch is tied into the power locks, that's why your keyless wouldn't work on it. On mine it doesn't move with the other locks, it only unlocks manually, then locks itself again as the window goes up. As far as the keys, do they fit into the door locks and turn in the handle? It could be that the truck is old and something is worn out in the latch. My 95 only opens from the drivers side, haven't looked into it yet though.

I just got a 2nd gen. Key works fine to start it but you can tell its been used. You have to aggressively giggle it in the key hole to get it opened. Previous owner didn't have any other keys lost them and it has no keyfobs not sure if it has keyless entry or not. 95 SR5. I'm hoping the dealer can cut a new set of keys by the vin as this key can't be made a copy. There's no teeth. Think a new key will solve issues? I would hate to have to get all new cylinders. Thanks

using the key(or interior button, it has a button, right?), roll the window down all the way, reach inside, and unlock the gate. it should now open.
