1996 cup holders?

I have a 1996 toyota four-runner. I hate how the cup holders are right beside the clock and pull out, you know? they are very flimsy, and can't hold a big cup (you know the 44 onunces with a small base and top heavy). I was hoping someone knew of somewhere I could buy some cup holders that like fit in the middle compartment or something, it is really inconvinient the way it is (sorry about spelling)!!!!

I feel your pain!!!

I HATED my cupholders on my '97.

There have been people who have converted the center console to the newer ('98 to '02) style where the cupholder is in the center. You can search it over at yotatech.

I don't know of any mod for the middle, but some have relocated the cup holders to the center console. It is a bit of a pain, but it can be done.
