1996 v6 4runner problems, help!!!

hi everyone, im new here, i have a 1996 sr5 4runner. it has 138k miles on it. and more frequently now the car had died at idle. it would start up and then just die. this has happened before a few times but i would just let it sit for 10-15 min and it would be ok. but it has sat overnight and it still wont start in the morning, it does the same thing.

This sounds like a MAF sensor problem. If that sensor is bad the computer will not know the amount of air entering the 4runner and will not run correctly. It also might be dirty. Try cleaning it with some break fluid.
